Reclaiming the garden from Winter's clutches

Today was making the most of the sunshine :)

This was the state of the garden furniture.

The table was really dowdy and yucky.

I decided to stain the previous kitchen table to protect it from the elements (much bigger for outside entertaining) and then I also gave all the other furniture a quick lick of cedar stain too:

Then I tacked on some gingham oilcloth from The Range at £3 a metre.

A massive improvement.

Lots of oilcloth left for summer bunting too :)

....

Whilst the paintbrush was covered in cedar stain, I decided to fix the hinge on the rickety shed and give it a quick wallop too:

Can't wait to start on the veg beds now.  :)

.....

Thought I'd share my update on my ex battery hens whilst I'm at it.

The lovely girls had bare backs when I had them 2 weeks ago:

Now their feathers are coming in thick and fast:

Aren't they doing well? ❤️

Toodles x
